16th November – Public meeting at SACMI Imola's Auditorium 1919 to close the “re-thinking the future” series

Titled Re-cognizing the change, this meeting is the last of six SACMI Imola learning events focused on planning for growth. The programme, to include the usual in-depth analysis and case studies, will feature interventions by Andrea Pontremoli and Alberto Giacomo Forchielli

The true 4.0 revolution in the business world consists of a re-focusing on people, their skills, values and capacity to plan and guide change. This, then, is the thesis - demonstrated by numerous high-level analyses and case studies - that has emerged from the “re-thinking the future” cycle of meetings, organised by SACMI Imola to mark its first centenary. On Saturday 16th November, Sacmi will host the final event to bring that cycle to a close.
The aim of this series of meetings was - through detailed data, analysis and a look at real-life business experiences - to train internal personnel; the previous meetings were, on average, attended by over 400 people. Alongside them, two public meetings (the first to inaugurate the cycle, back in March, and this one) were included to share, together with the town, an extremely topical subject, relevant to the entire economic system of Imola and Emilia Romagna.
Open to public participation, "Re-cognizing the change" will begin at 9.30 a.m. in Auditorium 1919 with a welcome from the President of SACMI Imola, Paolo Mongardi. "It's an opportunity", recalls Mongardi. "for the community to come together and discuss topics vital not only to business but the daily workings of society as a whole".
Afterwards, Raffaele Secchi, director of the Liuc Business School, will examine “Megatrends in technological innovation”, trends involving the economy but which also, above all, have an international effect on society and demographics.
What is the Italian approach to future challenges? This crucial question is posed by Andrea Pontremoli, formerly head of IBM Italia and now CEO of Dallara, the long-standing Emilian 'motor valley' brand that has led the way in high performance sports vehicle engineering and design since 1972.
Following him will be Alberto Giacomo Forchielli, businessman and investor, well known to the general public for his lucid analysis of the globalization of manufacturing and markets.
To close the meeting there will be a round table held by RAI TV presenter Barbara Carfagna; this will be preceded by an analysis of transhumanism, the movement which aims to radically enhance the human condition in the era of process digitization and IoT manufacturing.
The event is open to the public, subject to availability and registration.
