Andrea Boggio has joined SACMI Packaging & Chocolate as General Manager

Boggio joins Sacmi P&C from the Swiss chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli, where he spent the entirety of his career. He will report to Giovanni Campolungo, SACMI P&C Chief Executive Officer

Andrea Boggio has joined SACMI Packaging & Chocolate as General Manager. In this new role, Boggio will lead the SACMI P&C business which includes – through the three brands Carle&Montanari, OPM and Fima – equipments for the Chocolate Process, Moulding and Wrapping, and for a broad range for Primary and Secondary Packaging.
 
Boggio joins Sacmi P&C from the Swiss chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli, where he spent the entirety of his career. In last years, he served as Vice President of Operations for the company’s Italian subsidiary Caffarel Spa. In that role he was responsible for the Turin based plant, including the whole production supply chain and its related manufacturing P&L.
 
Previously, Boggio worked in the Lindt’s Italian factory, covering different positions in the Operations, as Head of Moulding and Wrapping Department, Production manager, Maintenance manager and Industrial Performance manager; this last, with the main goal to implement a robust World Class Manufacturing approach, based on the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology.
 
He then moved to Lindt Corporate, Kilchberg (CH), to encourage the spread of the World Class Manufacturing throughout Lindt’s factories worldwide and helping to drive their development.
 
Fifty years old, Boggio holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico of Milan. “I’m very honored to join the SACMI Packaging & Chocolate – he said – built on its truly impressive history in the chocolate and confectionery making with all its three brands, whose common goal is to provide excellent service to our customers”.
