The development of a clear strategy aimed at digitalizing production and management processes - a plan drawn up well before the pandemic - allowed the Group to hold its market position and retain every single employee. But that’s not all: it was also able to continue investing in growth and pursue innovation according to a customer care logic that has long been a characteristic of our success.
In 2019 we celebrated our centenary. It was also a perfect opportunity to renew our mission, one based on the principles of solidarity, cooperative democracy and continuous innovation; a mission that permitted the company to grow throughout the 20th century and become an international leader in the industrial plant engineering field. In more recent years, SACMI conceived and subsequently incorporated a highly specific strategy into its organization, one that embraced the challenges of digitalization and environmental sustainability and saw the company weave a new web of interaction between technology, people and processes.
Financial solidity, internationalization, an ability to respond dynamically and proactively to market challenges; these have been the cornerstones of a strategy that, today, allows us to look to the future with confidence, just as effective vaccines are becoming available, indicating a clear way out of the emergency.
